What does it mean when the landscape remembers? Join Dr. Kelle Roberts for an artist talk on culturally modified trees in Colorado—living trees still demonstrate of Indigenous presence, including Ute connections to place. We’ll explore Culturally Modified Trees as living archives, the stories we can and cannot tell from marks on land, and the ethics of viewing and sharing culturally sensitive sites. A conversation about art, history, and respectful attention.
